Übernahme aus  New York Sun: ausführliche würdigende Darstellung der Experimente Lilienthals. Schluss: "'First ho must have the proper wings. Boforo these are made it is useless to work upon methods of propulsion. Some day I hope to construct an apparatus of which the wings may be flapped either by steam power or other motive force. About one and one-half horse powor will bo required. Tho main difficulty will be in the increased difficulty of guiding the flight when the wings are moving and patient experiments will be necessary to solve many of the hitherto unknown phenomena of air pressures.' Of late Herr Lilienthal had given much attention to motive force and had experimented with vapor of liquid carbonic acid, it was in some new experimentation that he lost his life."
